About

Our Savior Lutheran Church

Over the last ten years, Our Savior Lutheran Church, located on the eastside of the Franklin Pierce School District, has generously given away over $1.3 million to local, regional, national, and international nonprofits. These dollars went to enhance food security, safeguard housing, support addiction recovery, celebrate indigenous communities, bolster mental health resources, make our streets safer, and foster inclusive, welcoming communities. These extraordinary efforts are not about the dollars, but are about people. Through relationships, countless lives have been transformed and bonds of trust and belonging have been deepened.

And, hundreds of thousands of those dollars have remained right here in Pierce County, supporting the dreams of students and families who call the Franklin Pierce School District, “home”. Every February, the church honors the incredible work of these community partners at an event called, the Joy of Generosity.

This past December, the joy swelled to even greater heights as over 1,500 souls from Our Savior embarked on a transformative 30-day journey. They chose to redirect their resources away from themselves, opting instead to give generously to others. This life changing experience not only transformed their spending habits but kindled a radiant fire within their hearts to radically love all people with more passion than ever before.

As a result, Our Savior is thrilled to announce the creation of the “Joy of Generosity” scholarship. They want to help make dreams come true by supporting an opportunity for students to continue school, chase their career goals, and generously share their talents and skills to help and love the people where they live, work, learn, and play.

This scholarship is not just about financial support; it’s about the joy found in unconditional love and a celebration of a spirit of generosity in all things.
