Summary | This Scholarship was established in 2002 by Dr. Steve Rasmussen and his wife, Terry. From 2007 to 2018, Superintendent Dr. Frank Hewins and his wife Cathy supported this scholarship. It now continues through the contributions of the current Superintendent, Lance Goodpaster and his wife Tricia. |
Purpose | The Superintendent’s Scholarship is intended to encourage and assist graduating seniors to continue their education beyond high school. Awards are made to graduating seniors of Franklin Pierce High School, Washington High School, and GATES High School. |

Selection process | Students may not apply for this scholarship. Each school’s scholarship committee will select the recipient. An alternate shall be selected annually from the same school and the scholarship shall be awarded to that individual if the primary award winner does not meet the requirements of the scholarship. |
